The Make-A-Wish Convoy & Truck Show began in Western Pennsylvania in 2000 when a group of local volunteers wanted to help children with life-threatening illnesses experience the power of a wish. Over 90 trucks and 13 Wish Kids made the Convoy and overwhelming success the first year and was declared to be an annual event to be held each fall to benefit the services of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania. Over the years, we have continued growing the event and have had over 25 kids each year! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of all involved, we have raised over $55,000!

 

 

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an international non-profit organization that fulfills the special wishes of children under the age of 18 who have a diagnosed life-threatening illness. The Western Pennsylvania Chapter was founded in 1983 in Pittsburgh, PA. Thirteen wishes were fulfilled the first year and now over 4,000 have been completed. At any given time, there are between 250-300 wishes pending. The average cost of a wish is $3,400. This is why your support is so important to the Foundation. All proceeds raised through the Convoy benefit the services of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
