The 12th Annual Make-A-Wish Convoy is Ready to Roll!
On Saturday, September 10, 2011, we will be rolling out the 12th Annual Make-A-Wish Truck Convoy to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. The convoy will take place at Leightys Flea Market in Newry, PA. We hope you can join us!
Details: The day’s events will be from 9 am to 5 pm with registration opening at 7 am. There will be activities for the kids and various vendors with food and fun for all. The convoy will begin at 1:30 p.m. The Convoy route will be provided on the day of the event but will go up 99 and surrounding areas.
Forms and Information: Please find enclosed the necessary registration forms and pledge sheets for your participation. Feel free to photocopy the forms and pledge sheets. As always, we are seeking sponsors for the event. Sponsorship information is included in this packet. Sponsor commitments are due by the deadlines found on the enclosed flyer. All funds raised through sponsorships will be added to the final event and driver totals.
Drivers: Registration for each truck is $60. Each driver is asked to collect pledges and if $250 or more is raised in pledge money, then the registration fee will be waived. This is where you can help us the most. All pledges raised will be used to fund the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Pledges can be raised in a number of ways:
· by simply asking friends and family to contribute
· by posting your pledge sheet in your lunch room at work
· having a sandwich sale, yard sale, or candy sale
· holding a fundraiser of your own
Judging: There will be 3 different levels of Judging. One will be done by all drivers participating, one by the Wish Kids and one by Penny-a-Vote.
